why in the world would you want to? a 9006 is capped and will have a very very strange beam pattern. As with putting a 9005 in the 9006 socket you'd have to grind off the guides, but it would suit no purpose at all. It's lower wattage, capped, and would just really suck, if you're planning on driving with the inner lights on be forewarned that the DOT SAE guidlines specifiy the low beam being outside of the high beam. But no it wouldn't blow a fuse, it's lower wattage than the high beam, aside from being absolutely worthless it wouldn't hurt anything, other than the bulb you have to modify to make the plug fit.

Again I ask why in the world would you want to do this? That's it, put the bong down and slowly step away

he could do what I'm doing with my projector retrofit, just grab 10 super bright white LEDs and put them all over in the headlight housing, should give it a kooooool glow

putting a 9006 in there would still cause glare, it reflects off of the cap and needs a shield to block the lower part of the reflector.

Bah, you'd blow something or piss somebody off. Tell him to **** with his own headlight casing.

Don't the superwhite LEDs come out purplish? I bought those damned white LED blinker corners and they look purple and so I thought about buying some HIDs that matched those blinkers.

And lighting up the whole headlight housing would be cool...but you'd probably get pulled over even if the inner parts were dimly lit.

Just use 9005 for both applications. haha, then you can have both on and it'll look the same, as far as intensity goes. I wouldn't recommend keeping both on, tho.... unless you wanna piss off a LOT of drivers on the road.
