94 Honda Accord Heater Problems
My girls has a 94 Accord EX. The damn heater stopped working tonight. I looked at all the fuse and they were fine. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before, and how did you fix it. Thought there might be a way to tell if the whole damn system is dead before taking to honda and paying big bucks for a new system cause you know they wont tell you the truth.
Thanks in advance

What exactly 'stopped working'?? We need more info...
Did the ventilation fan quit? Then look for fuses (well, you already did), or wiring to the fan switch. Or the fan-speed resistor.
Does the air blow cold instead of hot? Then look for stuck-open thermostat or low coolant... Or maybe a broken wire from the temperature knob to the actual valve.
What's your temperature gauge read while this is happening?

a common problem is the temp control cable coming loose from the back of the switch. when you turn the knob, there should be a good amount of resistance. it actually controls a valve under the dash that allows coolent to go through the heater core. the cable comes loose a lot when ppl pull the guages out to change their guage faces

Generally, you gotta take out the radio, or clock, or something. Maybe the glovebox. Behind the temperature knob, look for a cable (not an electrical wire) that hooks into the back of the knob. It'll go to the heater assembly, where it should hook into a valve on one of the heater hoses. That cable either breaks, or it becomes disconnected at one end or the other. Sometimes the cable goes thru the firewall, if the valve is located in the engine compartment.
