Default What OIL to use

Okay... I know honda says to use 5w-20 or 5w30 for 98-02 accords right? I do alot of Highway driving but usually its stop on go (traffic Jam) but when then there are times where I can drive hours and hours @ 70-100mph. I live in S. Cal. and its summer can i use 10w-40 a thicker oil to keep it cool or should I keep the recommended 5w-20\30?

I currently am using 5w-30 Mobil 1 Full TriSynthetic Oil on my car right now and I believe it's one of, if not the best oil out. I usually get 10w-40 or 15w-50 because it never snows down here in S. Cali and it's never cold anyway.

Does anybody REALLY know which motor oil to use and why? explain it ALL. I have a decent idea, but i'll let you guys explain because i'm no good anyway.

i think 5w-30 is perfect for accords with decent temps.

if it gets too hot, get 10w-30.
