Cheapest / Safest Way To Increase Acceleration?
What do you guys think?
1998 Accord EX, 4-cylinder automatic. CAI supposedly doesnt do much for acceleration from what I have heard. Help me out guys. Dont want to spend a TON of money here.. And dont want to lose a lot of gas mileage if thats avoidable. |
ummm ... then don't consider getting a catback exhaust. those drop both gas mileage and low end torque.
|
I think a CAI is a good place to start. I have a 95 EX automatic and though it isn't much....I did notice some increase in acceleration, especially in second gear. It was enough to beat my friends Probe, after he beat me before I put it in....and it's a 5-speed.
Then you could always spray, but I don't really know much about prices and saftey. |
Does a 'catback exaust' increase acceleration noticeably or what? Because I can deal with a small drop in MPG if the payoff is substantial.
|
Anything else other than an exaust system to really increase acceleration? Because my Accord is SO SLOW from being stopped. From 20-40 MPH its not bad, but from 0-20 MPH its ridiculous!
I get my doors blown off by SUVs, trucks, everything. Its just a joke. |
if you want a fast car, you're gonna have to spend some money

Okay great, now what is the BEST more effective way to increase acceleration? :)
|
