I own a 1999 Honda Accord V6 3.0L...originally the evap code came up, now it is the P1491 code.

I've been into the shop with my car on this P1491 code Egr issue.
They've replaced the EGR and purge valve initially, the 2nd time they've cleaned the carbon out of the egr line. But the code has been coming back

I've been into the shop 4 times with same issue and code keeps returning.
Does anyone have info on this ?

either you got a wiring problem (connector that goes to egr) OR your pcm is going nuts.
any other codes tps map?

 

you need to pull the intake clean the clogged EGR ports to fix the problem is not the EGR valve but not enough exhaust flow through the system Honda has a pipe kit to retrofit the intake. it's honda TSB #99-085
