Best Cheapo Tires

Stock '99 LX ... front tires pretty worn this summer so I switched them to the back. Now with another northeastern winter chugging our way I thought that it would be wise to get two new all seasons for the front and switch the ones there back to the back.

What cheapo tires are y'all going with these days?

Thanks in advance

got some Falken Ziex ZE-512 for $120 mounted and balanced, probably can get it for $200 for all 4. They're okay, im not sure if they're all season. The other ones i've went with are Kelly Chargers, about the same price. But these are cheap tires which can not compare to the michelin that came stock with the car. Call me boring but OE tires are pretty good.

Tirerack.com is a great place for tires. I've got these and they run great on the accord:

They're not so cheap though. You can sort by price and get a pretty good feel for what you can afford:

Falken Ziex ZE-512 are all season and very good tires for the price.

I just put on General Altimax tires. Run great, rated right below expensive Michelins, cost only $75 each from Tirerack.

Thanks guys

I'll look into these

I've been running Coopers on this car for years. much less expensive than you suggested but you get what you pay for, no?

One thing I don't skimp on is tires! You do get what you pay for. Cheap tires either don't last, or, go when you don't want them to. The Tirerack survey is my bible on replacement tires. I figure if 3000 people say they love a tire, that's a good tire to look into.

Tirerack!!

(Duh, slap forehead)

I forgot all about that, between the reviews and prices this is THE place to research tires

It's actually kinda fun using their buying guide for cars you own and wishlist cars
