Default 4th gen people.

u know the chrome trim around the windows... i have heard that once its removed you have to replace it, u can't reuse it because taking it off breaks the clips.. any one know for sure? TIA

If you remve it properly it dont break and there are a few little screws that hold it on too.

You can take it off, just be real careful, if you break the clips on the back side then you will have to replace it.
Sounds like a good idea, if you end up doing it send me some pictures.

you dont need to replace it...i had my car repainted and if you take them out carefully and dont break the clips you should be fine...
