honda factory oil filter

Hi everyone. I have a 95 honda accord lx (4 cylinder). I purchased a honda oil filter: part #15400-PLM-A02. I noticed that this filter is smaller than the fram thats currently on the vehicle. Will this fit my accord? Any help would be appreciated

Yes, it should. I've used the Honda OEM filters as well. I don't know why they're smaller but the fitting is the same as the other aftermarket filters.

Sometime around 2000 Honda changed to the smaller filter across the board (except maybe S2000?). That's for older cars too. I bet some newer cars have clearance problems & Honda just decided for everything to use the same filter.
