Default Removal/Transmission Computer

I'm told its under the dash on the passanger side? Is this correct? How is this removed? Any help would be great,, is that I have a buyer for this, and hope to remove it off my parts car.

u need to pull the carpet of the passenger side. under there u'll see a big bracket holding two computers.

the smaller one is the tcu. u'll have to unbolt the bracket first, then the tcu.

for what year car? is there a TCU for every year?
i just thought that it was all together in the ECU.

I think it wasn't until later they put the engine & tranny controllers together into the same enclosure.

since when did that start? 7th gen?

6th-gen. Had a '98 EX 4-cyl like that. Called the "PCM" powertrain control module. Apparently that was basically the ECM & TCM bundled together.
