Yeah I use nothing but synthetic. It just hit 66,000. Thats what I mean by best oil. Synthetic, and what the hell, regular too.

Thanks,

Of the commonly available synthetic oils, I would get Castrol Syntec (German) off the shelf.

IMHO, the very best of all the oils is Motul.

My hybrid track car has been using Motul since day one, and even after a three-day track event consisting of 18 sprint sessions, the car did not use a drop of oil.

Motul, however, is rather expensive compared to normally available oils off the shelf.

I would switch to 5w - 30W (manufacturer recommends)
followed by a good synthetic oil motul/royal purple /castrol syntec german (If you can find it)

I use valoline max life full synthetic with no complaints.

Every 3000 miles is what is recommended
i change mine every 6 months regarless of miles (mostly cause im a lazy bastard):chuckles:

as for oil filters i use "hamp synergy oil filters" here's a site where you can buy themhttp://yhst-1408381693991.stores.yah...oheoilfi1.html

The "oil filters" from the honda dealership are junk Imo

also invest in Magnetic Oil Drain Plug

and your,re all set

If you start switching from synthetic to regular oil, your engine will leak. you need to stay with either one. High mileage engine should not switch to synthetic.
