P1457
I had the CEL read at the local Autozone on my 99 Accord EX V6 with 104K miles on it and it gave me code P1457 which is a leak in the EVAP system. I read a lot of posts about and saw that the CVS(or Vent shut valve) is a very common problem so I went ahead and purchased a new one and replaced but that damn light came back on again.
Any other suggestions to get rid of that evil light cause I really need to get an emissions inspection. .
Please Help.

Search the archives for a big description that I wrote. The CVS valve may be the most common failure (mine was) but there's a dozen other things you can check. Would have been a good idea to diagnose this before buying parts...
That happened to my gsr twice and I'm almost positive it was my gas cap. Try opening it and then closing it. The first time it came on was the day after a gas fill. I went to autozone and they cleared the code for me. If you have a faulty gas cap then you'll get that code. Then a month later it came on again. I just cleaned the rubber seal around the cap, pulled the ecu fuse for a 10 mins and it never came back again. Remember I think it's suppose to be like 3-4 clicks and that's it.
