changing tranny fluid 99 cpe 4cyl 5 spd? help!
 
how do you change the tranny fluid and is it ok to switch over to synthetic trans fluid, i also wanted to know is it ok to switch over my oil in the engine as well? what is the good and the bad of doing this ? HELP!!!

their are two bolt on the trans pass side the drain is a 3/8 drive ratchet the fill is a 17mm.drain it put the drain back in fill the 17mm hole till trans comes out.the oil just do an oil change but use what ever oil you want.drain it put a new filter on and fill from the top.

Use ONLY Honda MTF. The manual tranny's aren't as fickle about the fluid, but for the extra money it's really not a bad idea. Also, NEVER flush!! Just drain and refill.

if i switch over to the synthetic fliud for engine oil what are the advantanges of doing that?
