Default Auto --> Manual Conversion

How much would the conversion cost? What type should I get?

I'm getting a new car soon (a WRX!) but for now I just want to change my auto tranny to a manual. People here are so gay about that ****, "oooh, it's an automatic...."

Not like it's MY fault i had to get an auto...

if your getting a WRX soon dont bother. Hell if you werent getting one soon dont bother.

Parts are about 700 bucks. If you are a DIY you can acomplish it in a weekend I'd say. With labor you'd be looking at $1500

bottom line not worth it

you'll find more info if you use the bloody SEARCH button

How the 5sp feels is only as good as the install. If done right it will be just as good as if from the factory.

In this persons case it's not worth a 5sp swap. There are basically only two scenarios in which it's worth it.
1. Your auto tranny is blown and it costs about the same to fix or swap.
2. Your getting an H22 swap done at the same time.

hey guys, i saw something pretty nice. a mint condition(watever that means) 5 speed tranny off a pretty new accord if i remember correctly(either 1998 or 2000), i think it said florida, $600 shipped anywhere, but obviously if u can pick it up, much cheaper. maybe he said $450? u got to check it. im so tired, all i remember it was pretty cheap, but of course u got to get more info on the miles it was used and pics of it, imagine, if u can install it urself, not bad, he said complete tranny with harness' ... anyway it was on

www.thepartstrader.com UNDER honda/acura (duh), and under Engine/Drivetrain. it was like DEEP into it, u may have to go through 6 or 7 pages

I'm all for the conversion, but reading that you're getting a WRX soon, I say SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! That money could be used for mods on the Scooby!!!!
