I've never done any work under the hood. Would attempting to install a new exhaust header (current stock, would install single piece comptech 4-2-1 header) be an idiotic thing to try?

I dont have access to a lift, so is it possible to do with just normal jacks?
Also, are there any specific tools I would need (besides torque wrenchs)?

install it from underneath the car. Also make sure you have a can of wd40

 

Agreed. You might try some PB blaster too. Some say it works better than WD40.

Listen to Big AL, PB blaster does work better. I couldnt think of the name so i mentioned WD40.

 

Yea i've heard liquid wrench works good too....i've used it plenty of times on bolts that where BITCH and wouldn't even move let it soak for about 10 mins and came out with ease

 

also, is there a place where I can find info on header clearance, or does anybody know, specifically whether the comptech header has good clearance?

 

If you're running a 4-2-1 header you won't have any problems however I don't believe Comptech makes a header for your car. I'm pretty sure they only make them for the 6th gen V6 accords.
