Default Temp gauge failed

So I installed a new system in my girls 00 Accord EX VTECH cpe. Now the temp gauge isn't working which caused (I'm assuming ) the check engine light to come on. I checked fuses and relays but found nothing. Ran the Amp power thru the passenger side of the firewall, but didnt hit or disturb anything existing that I saw. Then again-I had a 'certified' dipshit trying to help me... Anybody got something for me???

Have your stuff professionally installed. End of story.

well, its very easy to hit a wire down in that area... the ECU is right there, so theres a ton of small wires and they tend to run in places you wouldnt expect.

If for some reason you may have been tinkering around near the passenger side of the engine block, its possible that you broke off the connector for the temperature sensor, they're pretty fragile.

Have the check engine light diagnosed by auto zone or another parts store, hopefully the car dosent catch fire on the way there.
