the LED's in the spoiler light are already red... meaning if you use a clear lens... they will still be nice and red. Its not illegal cause there is no reflector there that you would be changing the color of and the light remains red.

if hit your ass with clear brake lights I'll be pissed
|
you can buy a spoiler replacement LED Strip(i dunno know its official name) and they sell for about $60-75 bucks i think, which come in clear or red lenses with red LEDS.

most likely ill keep the led light red still, i just want the clear look. what website sells it?
|
The LED's are red to begin with... meaning if you take the lens off, and step on the brake... the strip will still be red... even without the lens... putting a clear lens on is gonna make them brighter because there is no extra color to dim the light.

DOT has not found any type of red light that can come from behind a clear lense and be bright enough to pass the photometric test. off the top of my head, i kno that many late model volvos have clear 3rd brakelights too. btw, wingswest offers them as an option on most of their spoilers |
