Honda-Acura.net - engine won't start????

okay, i go to school this morning at 9. Three or four hours later, when i want to go home, i can't get the engine start. I can hear squezzing sound once i turn my key, but the engine just not running. I try to add some gas while turning the key. Somehow i could pushed the engine started few times, but very quickly, it shut down again.
I have a new battery( change it 3 months ago), and did the timeing belt change 2 months ago. My friend said it is not the alternator because he said it would have no sound at all if the alternator die out. His suggestion is that the guy who change the timeing belt for me did not do the job right, therefore, it happens. What could be wrong with my car?
btw, it is a 94 lx,auto with 106k.
