BIGGER wont fit your, you need a THICKER sway bar.
Get a TL-S sway bar for your 6th gen and it will handle alot better plus its cheap around 60 bucks.

Bigger, thicker, just semantics. 
And yes, it'll improve handling by decreasing body roll.
You can go with a mild setup like a rear TL-S/CL-S alone, or you could go for a complete front/rear setup like Eibach, etc.

Yep, if you live in the "rust belt" it can be a pain. To release the nut on the endlinks, you need to hold the "bolt" part of the endlink with an allen wrench. So you'll need an open/box wrench here, rachet and socket won't work on the endlinks.
