Wheel Interchangeability?

Got 96 Honda Accord. Would like snow tires, cheap. In New England, we have a great Want Ad book. I often see ads for tires my size, P195-60-R15, already mounted on Volvo wheels, or sometimes BMW, Saab, or Passat. Will any of these bolt circles/offsets fit my Honda, 4 cyl. so 4-bolt pattern? I could go down to MA and measure, but laziness being what it is, I thought I'd ask first.

Thanks kindly,
Don

Don,

The bolt pattern for your car is 4x114. It's doubtful that most people selling these wheels know the actual offset, just what car them came off.

Internet is a great resource...use it to find the bolt patterns of these other cars. A quick search in a volvo, saab, etc forum will give you the bolt patterns. I doubt you'll find much Euro stuff (at least BMW...the earlier 3 series was 4x100 (same size as civics and integras) and are now 5 lug.

Good luck though. :)

FWIW, Saab has never used a 4x114 bolt pattern. Although there's lots of Saabs that use that TIRE size.

Dang, I think I was wrong. Saab 900 up to 1987 used 4 x 114.3 but the offset was too small, like 30mm. Beginning in 1988 they changed the bolt circle.

Thanks

I should have thought of the Internet search. I'll try it now. Ya, the ads for tires say things like "....on black rims" or "4 holes" not even what kind of car.:)
