Default Key Transplant

I noticed that there is are threads that shows you how to transplant a TSX key into a '05 keyfob. However, I couldn't find any information if this can be done with a '98 accord key. Its easier to carry around one keyfob than a remote and key. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I looked into it the key I can probably get the remote to program by replaceing the encoder chip ,the immobilizer chip has to be swapped out it's easy tho on the 7th gen key as it's removeable and has to be swapped out for one from a 6th gen key (you have to gut the grip to get it out) because the 03+ have a rolling code thats why the V is stamped on the shank, I still have yet came up with how to change the sidewinder type key shank to a normal one ..

Yeah I looked inside mine and found out that the Remote is completely seperate from the key. You can remove the remote from the inside and they both will still work fine.
