Default starting problems w/91 EX...please help

1991 Accord Ex 4-door (sport) automatic, 218,XXX miles

Here's the senario:

Sometimes it will turn over with no problems. Lately, the car seems like it's gonna start and will just bog out or not start at all. To get it to start I mess with the ingnition switch and not turn the key all the way. After a few times of doing this I turn the key all the way and the car will start.

The only thing I replaced was the battery. I could not hear if the fuel pump was priming, but think that and the fuel filter should be replaced. Am I correct in saying this? I was told to check my main relay first prior to changing the fuel pump/filter but don't know how to.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I doubt this is your main relay, when that goes your car won't start at all or only in certain weather. Sounds more like an ignition problem, but wait for someone else to confirm this.
