Default tdc sensor

I tested my ecu and it comes back with code 8. I checked online and it says that is my top dead center sensor. I've called several places and they never heard of such a thing. Can anyone tell me what it is? Where it's located? What it looks like? Thanks.

I believe that the TDC sensor is reports to the ECU when the crankshaft has rotated past top dead center. If the sensor has a problem, the ECU may not be able to adjust the engines timing correctly, causing it to run poorly.

The TDC Sensor determines ignition timing at start-up (cranking) and when crank angle is abnormal.
