Default stock intake question

i looked at the stock intake routing for my f22b2, and i it still didn't answer my question.
basically, i'm looking at the stock intake arm and there is a secondary arm on the bottom of it that has a hose clamp on it and i'm assuming it goes to somewhere but i'm not sure.
anyone know what i'm talking about?

Guessing it goes down to the resonator. I took out the resonator on my 92...didn't notice a difference in noise or power, though :P

My opinion would just be the same. I wouldn't know any other pipe going down other than the resonator.

thats the resonator on the intake..
Hence the quietness on a stock intake vs an aftermarket.
