Default 2005 Hoda accord 7000 Miles -- screching sound

Today my car gave the first signs of sickness after more than 6 months since I bought it. The car was running fine. In the evening when I was coming back from work, I started the car , left it idle for a few minutes to warm up, then moved slowly in the parking garage. I heard a screeching sound , which I suspect came from wheels. When I stopped the car the sound stopped. When I accelerated further the sound went away. Is there anything wrong in my 6 month old car?

Thanks
Kevin

I'm no pro but It's was probably just a little brake stick. Do you use your Emergancy Brake ? It was most likely that.

You mean the hand brake? I double checked it also , but it was all the way down. So I don;t think it might be that. Is it possible it might still be locked even after I put it all the way down.

Thanks

Thats when I mean, If you used it for the first time or you pulled it harder then normal or the fact that the car is brand new.....The Brakes or the cable might get stuck, just enough for the rear brakes to rub creating a squealing or sqreaching sound. This is normally the case for an older car that has never had the hand brake used and is then used for the first time but I've seen it happen with new cars too

You could have had something stuck in your brakes between the pads and rotors. When you backed up, it screeched. Then when you went forward, it fell out and the sound went away. Dunno. If it doesnt come back, forget about it.

Same thing happened to my wife on her 05 accord lx yesterday. A very small rock was wedged in a front brake rotor. Made that noise. Popped right out though when I went forward and backward a few times. The wife was freaking out! You might have to take the wheel off to manually remove it (if it is a rock).
