Default Newbee: Sticking caliper / piston

I have a 94 accord and i noticed that the back drivers side pad is worn down about 60% more than the back passenger side. I belive the caliper / piston is sticking. Could anyone tell me how to service this to stop the sticking ? Is it as simple as applying some grease / wd40 to a certain area ?

Depending on the caliper design, check the pins that the caliper slide on. Sometimes if they aren't greased this can happen. The pins are the two that bolt the floating portion of the caliper to the caliper mounting brachet.

after that, clean off the rotors with brake cleaner spray. You should bleed the brakes too while you're at it.

Thanks for the help. We'll see if this fixed it. If not I will go back and replace the caliper.

There can also be restrictions in the lines causing one caliper to instead of stick, not activate, making the other caliper SEEM like its sticking and wearing prematurely. Most likely, the pins are dry.
