Need to know ASAP!!!!!!! will f22b1 engine fit in 93 accord lx?????????
a kid i know has a f22b1 out of a 95 accord ex vtec, and he said he would sell it to me for 350 bucks, and the motor in my 93 accord lx has 200k miles on it, so i wanna buy this motor and put it into my accord, but i want to be sure it will fit and everything will work, he has the whole complete wiring harness and the ecu and a tranny but the tranny is an auto, so i also want to know if my tranny wil bolt up to the f22b1 !!!!!!! someone please help me out, thanks

yeah, u do have an f22 too, just an older version. I'd get the engine cause its a good, low cost swap... especially to get some lower mileage on the engine. You'll gain 20hp just from the swap.
You can go to a junk yard and get a manual tranny for like $200 probably... but you'll need a manual ECU too. Is your car an auto or manual now?

the only difference between f22a1 and b1 is the vtec which i am not positive but adds 15 hp compared to your a1 and will drop right in. The thing that you will have to do is wire the knock sensor, vtec pressure switch, anf vtec solenoid from the b1 harness to the a1 harness. Then you are done.

well, i shouldnt have to worry about the wiring, cuz he has the whole engine wiring harness, the ecu, and everything, but it has an auto tranny, which i dont want, and my car has a manual tranny, but will my manual tranny bolt up to the f22b1?????? help me soon please!! thanks for the info peeps!

im pretty sure it will bolt right up, but again you have another problem, he may have the harness and ecu and all but you have an obd1 car and his is obd2 therefor you have a lot more mods to do. You have to get the wiring harness converted to obd1, along with the ecu wiring and distributor injectors and much more so everything is converted to the correct obd. Lots of problems man, call your local shop and ask around is all i can say. Sorry
