Default Belt Noise

hi guys.

Lately, but not so often when my car is idling say at a light I hear this noise similiar to when the power steering belt starts to whine or something.

I heard it again this morning after driving home from a cold start.
Temp outside was probably 25 degrees. I started up my car waited like 30 seconds then drove off.
I got to the traffic light and I could hear like a faint whine...

Is that an indication that the belts need to be tightened, replaced or could it escalate to a more serious problem?

pop your hood and check your belts and see if theres alot of play with them.. more than likely your sepentine belt is a little loose and just needs to be tighten.

:werd:

if they haven't been changed in a while you could always buy the belts and install them with the help of a buddy. it would take about 15minutes for the install, and the belts don't cost a lot.
