I plan on doing the same, on the same car. All I'll say is that unless you have plenty of moneyto buy all new parts, prepare to spend a while at a junkyard. I've heard from more than one person that the switch from auto to std is not cheap. You plan on doing turbo, or you going all engine with the h22? I plan on building mine up for all engine. It all depends what your plans are with that swap. Are you sure that you definately want to do the auto to std change?

I've heard that the H22s come out of the prelude and that you should get it from around the same year as the accord so that it will match the chassis easier. I've got a 95 accord. So what year and model preludes would I look for to find an H22 engine. And what brings the H23. Is the H23 the non vtec version? I've been thinking about going to a few local junkyards and pulling an engine and tranny to build it up.

when i got my swap it was pretty staight forward. but i had a manual to manual swap. my friend had a auto to manual in his civic. i think it cost him about 1k or so more to get swapped in. but i am sure you will like it.

I paid $500 for labor, swap included.

I think if I had the tools and engine hoist, I'd attempt to do it myself.

It's a shame we never saw the full potential of your car after the swap
