ABS light comes on after 15 mins of driving
The title pretty much says it all. Its a 94 accord ex. After anywhere from 5-30 mins of driving the ABS light will switch on. I have no possible explanation for this. There are no sounds or warning signs of any kind. Just a quiet little 'click' when the light comes on. I have not been able to test yet whether or not the ABS is still working when the light is on.

Do you need new pads?
My sister's ABS light came on when the brake fluid got low because the pads were worn out. |
My ABS came on for no reason whatsoever, just started the car, and it was on. Same thing happened with the SRS light, about a month later i took it to the dealer, they found no problems. I think the abs came on cause it was real hot one day.. and i was whippin the car around pretty bad... alot of high speed stops.. some everything was probaly pretty hott, thats just a guess though. And my master cylinder had to get replaced, so that may have been it also, not sure.

What kind of dealer can't read the ABS trouble codes? You read them pretty much like you read ECU trouble codes...
I wouldn't replace the wheel sensor ($$) without first reading the codes... |
Is there a way that I can read the codes without taking it to a dealer? if so could someone post a list of the error codes and what they mean?

when I got my car lowered back then, my ABS light came on.
It was the wiring problem. under mah car. shiet. no shop didn't wanted to touch that. So I had to take it to dealer. they said it was in terrible shape. They guessing whoever lowered my car fuked it up. So I had to get new ABS kit(sensor) w/e. Sigh... cost me 1k for everything. hope Im not scarying u. |
huh lowering the car can fk it up? damn 1k is lots of money. i hear the srs system cost $5000 damn that and the abs is a new car.
my abs light used to come on often n the winter so i would just warm the car then just turn it off and back on and light is gone. never happen n good weather/summer/spring.... i hate the winter. check the fluids |

This is for a '94-'97 Integra, so I can only guess that it's the same?? The check-engine light blinks out it's code with long & short flashes. The ABS light blinks it's code differently... Insert the jumper, then turn on the key. Long (2sec.) flash - long (2sec.) pause - this isn't the code yet. Short flashes for the first digit of the code - 1sec. pause - short flashes for the 2nd digit. Long (5-second) pause, then the next code. 1 - ABS pump motor over-run 1 2 ABS pump motor 1 3 high pressure leakage 1 4 pressure switch 1 8 high pressure system 2 1 parking brake 3 1 pulser RF 3 2 pulser LF 3 4 pulser RR 3 8 pulser LR 3 12 different diameter tires 4 1 wheel sensor RF 4 2 wheel sensor LF 4 4 wheel sensor RR 4 8 wheel sensor LR 5 - rear wheel lock - R/L 5 4 rear wheel lock - R 5 8 rear wheel lock - L 6 - fail-safe relay - F/R 6 1 fail-safe relay - F 6 4 fail-safe relay - R 7 1 solenoid - RF 7 2 solenoid - LF 7 4 solenoid - R 8 1 ABS function 8 2 CPU comparison 8 4 IC self-check |
