Default 6th Gen H22 Swap wiring problems

I have a 2000 honda accord, converted to manual transmission from auto. the motors starts and will idle fine but, at full throttle begins to choke and sputter, and will only let me redline at about 6700 RPM's. Plz help,
ps. my accord is a 00 , 2.3L ULEV-Tec and had automatic trans.

HELP!

a new ecu may help, not sure tho. from what you said it sure sounds like it's just a precationary measure that was put in to make sure the old engine wouldnt go past it's potential, and now it is just holding the 22 back from it's higher redline.... just my thoughts

you have a manual 5 speed ecu? its going to be a problem cause youll need ecu for the 5 speed tranny and the ecus have immobilizer, also you have a h22 swap right? you need a p13 ecu. obd2b-obd1 harness make sure the harness is obd2b - obd1 for accords and not for civics. and also not obd2a-obd1. check cels. that is also a issue

I ran into the spit and sputter at full throttle on my H22 Swap too. One time it was the MAP sensor and the other time it was the Spark plugs. I cant remember if you need to run hotter or colder plugs. But if you run the wrong ones it will foul them out over and over again. It gets frusterating. If its the MAP you should be getting a check engine light. IF not then its probably your plugs or your ecu. You CANNOT use the stock accord VTEC ecu. Manual or auto. Its fuel maps are way wrong and i think that the stock revlimit on the accord ecu is 6500 or some where around there. If you havent already then you should go on ebay and get a skunk2 or JUN reprogramed ecu. You should be able to pick one up for around 200 dollars and I noticed a HUGE diffrence from the Stock H22a ECU. Hope that helps some.

helps alot acutally. right now i have a obd2b type r ecu you in it and it still sputters at low rpm though. i advanced the distributer all the way and it stopped it . but then i put it back to normal and it goes back to that sputtering again. and i cant even hear the vtec open! ggrr the map sensor is the one on top of the throttle body right?
