throttle cable

i know im idling a little too high but i didnt tighten it to the max so maybe it wouldnt stretch. there is even more room to tighten so maybe i didnt go too far. and if i did how would i be able to tell? other than a broken cable

Two things for you to worry about...

1 - Make sure there's a bit of slack in the cable when you aren't pressing the accelerator. In other words, the throttle has to be resting against its own stop. The cable can't be holding it open even a tiny bit.

2 - Watch the pedal & cable & throttle. Make sure when you press the pedal down all the way, the throttle isn't the only thing stopping the pedal. The pedal should run out of travel just when the throttle is all the way open. You don't want to bend the throttle pulley by pressing the pedal down too hard.

one more thing

how will i know if i bent the throttle pulley?

I suppose it won't be straight? Or maybe the cable will easily de-rail from it??
