4th gen's, please respond

I have a 92 4-door with skunkworks coil overs and Tociko blues. I have too much bounce. Are Tociko yellows better for damping? Should I get a different shock altogether?

How do you measure "drop" - from the bottom of the fender to center of wheel or to the ground? I also changed wheel sizes.

Thanks, Spy

tokico blues suck for skunk sleeves cause they ride real stiff...u need koni yellows or tokico illuminas..i have the yellows and like the adjustabilty...im down about 3" so the ride is stiffer than stock but rides pretty good...oh yeah measure from your sleeves because they drop from 0" to 4"

KMFDM, actually, i just had that done by the bodyshop who painted it. i dont know how they did it, i need to go back for a few things, so ill ask how they did it when i go.

in maryland, your supposed to have a front plate, but i always felt the the accords' front end would look so good without the ugly plate---and i was right. the front end looks great when its clean, so i'll take my chances.

thanks, JD - going to order them now. ive heard from a few places that yellows are the way to go.

i took off my front plate too but ther wernt any holes ther....i got a fifth gen so thats probally why

KMFDM Aug 13, 2002 08:30 AM

yeah cause on my 4th gen i took of the plate holder and theres two big holes, im worried about it maybe rusting

Spyfunkr Aug 13, 2002 08:32 AM

squirt some silicon in the holes till you figure it out (or until i find out how my shop did it)

i assume they sanded them down, filled in with bondo or glass and sanded again.

did you buy the car used? because the car comes with 2 little clip/covers that are body-colored. it doesn't make it all flush and nice, but at least the screw holes won't be showing. it'd be like two little bumps. i'm too lazy to go down to my glove compartment and dig those out.

get some yellows...koni yellows, adjustable as well...or illuminas
