Default some clutch problems

so today i was driving to a go-kart place (i knew i wasnt supposed to do this) but at the red light i put it in gear and hold the clutch in until it turns red...

well, i killed it, started it back up again put it in 1st and went but...the clutch pedal wouldnt come back up. it was stuck and i manually would lift it back up. so we first thought it was the slave master cylinder but we checked the fluids and i described how the spring or the throwout bearing would sqeek sometimes when i would press the clutch in.

so we concluded that it was the throwout bearing (and since i always hold the clutch in) it looks like thats the problem. does anyone else have any questions on what it might be or agree with me?

so i guess its time for a new clutch...sigh...

I agree, if you clutch was making a squeaking sound when you press it its the throw out bearing. are you going to get a new clutch now? I would if your going to have to pay for the labor to get to the throw out bearing. the throwout that comes with the ACT clutch is great so I'd recommend the ACT HDSS clutch. excedy is also a good brand to consider.

hahaha, those go karts were fast, i was fighting the steering wheel the whole time and since the steering was so stiff i thoughtthere was a problem with my car when i cornered becuz it was too easy.

not sure about the ACT clutch since its a bit expensive, like at least 300, exedy stage one is 260...plus labor is another 300 (which im thinking of doing myself) maybe i should just go wit an oem or a cheapy stage one like gripforce.
