I got a pair of halo projectors for x-mas and my boy and i where taking my car a part and I was wondering if you really need to take of the front bumper to install them. I was all ready to take it off when we realized that we had not butt connenctors to connect them so I to but it all back?

 

yea u have to take off the bumper to get to some screws... it's accutually kinda weird cause u need to take out the bumper to get the lights out, but u need to take the lights out to get the bumper out.... ahhhhh i don't know what i'm sayin

 

what year is your car? i'm guessing a 2001?

 

Yah, you'll have to remove the whole bumper. Its not that hard, I've done it on my '00 and on my friend's '95 with no problems. There are an assortment of little black plastic screws and clips that hold the bumper on as well as metal screws. Be careful when removing the plactic ones...those little bastards strip easily.

 

I blacked out my headlights, and in order to take them off, u gotta take out tha whole bumper. It sux, theres too many screws. taking off tha civic bumper was soo much easier...

 

well on the 6th gen accord there are 4 bolts and 6 clips...easy stuff... i blacked out my headlights (check them out in the post HOOD PINS on a 6th Gen) and the bumper removal/put back was the easy part lol when installin projectors tho, remember to get lots of stickers for the car along with them or u wont be able to take full advantage of the HP boost

 

On 5th gens, the bumper support comes out with the bumper. Its held on by 4 bolts.
