5th gen 16" wheels

Has anyone gone to a plus 1 size on a 5th gen V6? The stock tire is 205-60/15, and the plus 1 is 215-50/16. The only mod I have done to the suspension is to install a set of Bilstein HD's. I was wondering about the tradeoff between handling and comfort.

With that size I wouldn't think you'd have any comfort compromise. The wider contact patch and shorter sidewall should help increase grip and reduce bodyroll. You still have plenty of comfort in that sidewall...not even an issue imo. I daily drive 225/40/18s and it's fine. :D Some of the 5th genners even do 215/35/18.

Thanks. The roads I travel on are kind of rough so I'm concerned about the ride. I'm considering Motegi FF-6 wheels with BF Goodrich g-Force T/A's...and Blizzaks on the stock wheels for winter use.

Yeah, sounds like a good setup. I bet you get a decent amount of snow in the "Yukon" :D

I like the FF-6's okay, but I prefer the RT5 wheels.

Actually, I think the foul-weather conditions are way worse on the eastern seaboard. The only real bad thing we get in the far Northwest is LOTS of winter (November to April give or take a month or so). The good thing about driving in the Yukon is that you get to do it real fast - the cops are scarce once you get out on the highway.
