Default NO HEAT, help me!!!!

Goodmorning to all,I have problems, a little while ago someone broke into my car and stole the radio I had in it. They cut all the wires and the whole radio/heat and air control unit was sitting in my passenger seat. Well I have replaced the raido with a factory cd player, and I just had the wire housing unit placed back in, but there is no heat( it is like 33 degrees right now), there were new fuses put in and still no heat, what could be the problem? I just would like a little input, so that I don't take it to a dealer and get taken. Please Help, VERY COLD!!!

not sure if it has anything to do with wiring, unless you havn't checked allllllll the wires yet. Otherwise, a common cause of no heat is a worn thermostat (coolant). Costs like $16-17 at the autoparts store, but it sounds like yours may just be a wire issue.

Yea, sounds like a wire issue..but it could also be the heater core not getting any coolant. Have you checked coolant levels? Also, the thermostat may be worn or stuck open.

Default thankx

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY, I FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND THE BODY SHOP NEVER RECONNECTED THE WIRE, THEY TAPED IT TO THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND FORGOT ABOUT IT. SO I HAVE HEAT. THANKX

Well heres another one for ya HAN. I have no heat in my (believe it or not) "winter car". I have replaced the thermostat with a new one checked coolant levels and fixed a leak in the radiator. But still the temp. gauge doesn't display temp of the engine and NO HEAT COMES OUT!!!

Help me please. Everybody is telling me now that its the heater core, what kind of expense am I looking at here? lOts-O-labOr or is it relatively an "easy" fix...thanks much appreciated as always.
