hey i was drivin my car on this long highway in miami at like 4 in the mornin next to my friend in her new civic...well we were like cruisin at 100, and i sed shit i jus got my wheels aligned and balanced (has been ugly for the longest) i sed lets see what i can do...so i down shift and i hit bout 105 and shift back to 5th and let her rip...so im goin, 120 try to pass it, i think it was 125 and vrooooooooooooooooooooom it slows down, whats good with that? i cant get pass 125? its not like i do it often, but its jus nice to know i can pass it. is there a limiter or is it somethin else? 97 accord lx

 

Its called the speed governor. Mines cuts off at 115mph. There are ways you can bypass it is by chipping the ecu or using vtec controllers.

 

surprised ur governor let u get that high...mine's at like 112/115

True,I was just about to mention that mine doesnt have a limiter either.93's Rule.

 

dumb ex's...good that u can't get that high tho...w/o better rubber u could blow ur tires...maybe u can't get past due to engine and aerodynamics

 

in 5th...what were your rmp's when the limiter kicked in...by the way, where is the rev limiter on 5th gen EX's?...there sure is a lot of red line on my tach, but im to big of a wuss to check where it stops revving

 

most all low profile tires are rated at least 150+

 

odd I never hit a limiter in my 96 ex.
