ok i'm going to be replacing my passenger side axle tomorrow because of a torn cv boot. my question is, do you drain the tranny fluid before removing the axle? thanks

 

ok, i just finished replacing both of my axles. the first one took me about 3 hours to do and the second one about a half hour since i knew what to do. i ended up draining the fluid before anything else so none spilled out when the axles were removed. overall i'd say it was a pretty easy diy.

 

did you replace them because the boot was torn?
