My friend has a set of rims. well he hit a pot hole with one of them and it put a small bend in the lip of the rim. he tried to bend it back and it ended up cracking. i guess it is a small crack but my question is. how bad is this? I have another friend who is willing to buy them for cheap as long as it isnt a serious.
so is this bad to drive on or what?

 

Just to be on the safe side, don't drive on them until the wheels are repaired.

 

If it was just a small bent it wouldn't be that bad but i wouldn't drive on it with a crack.It shouldn't cost too much to fix.

 

Have it welded to be on the safe side.

 

It also may be cheaper just to buy a new wheel. Back in 1997 when I bent my TSW VX1s they were $200 each at the time. Got them all repaired for $600 and the paint was chipping off two weeks later. I could have spent an extra $200 for new wheels.
