B series rods on D series crank

I just noticed that the D15B7 con. rod is 134mm in length compared to the D16 motors which are 137mm. By using D16 rods and pistons would increase the displacement.. correct me if I'm wrong. But also noticed that the USDM B16A2 uses a 134mm con. rod unlike the B18B's 137mm or B18C's 137.9mm. Will the B16 rod bolt up to the D-series crank?

It can help a lot with shit like this. But from what I ahve read, yes it will work if you notch the block. The only problem being the pistons. The wrist pins on the D's are a different size.

Sorry, but that actually is wrong. If you use a longer rod with the same B7 crank, the pistons will now be running the same stroke only 3mm higher. This means the same displacement, and now the piston is poking up so far it is going to hit the head. When you are stroking an engine, the important displacement changing part is the crank.;)

According to the specs on Crower's website, the D16 rods won't fit onto the D15B crank anyway.

use LS rods. you will have to modify them though. PM Mantis.
