Hey guys. Just a small question about something thats been bugging me. Why do more people go with turbo chargers than super chargers? Arent super chargers more responsive and have less turbo-lag than their turbine powered cousins? Is there a big price difference or what?

 

supercharger's are weaksauce on 4-bangers

 

turbos are easy to get, and you can make them work on any car. Superchargers are made for specific engines... Harder to replace...

 

Turbos are 500,000% more fun.

 

with companies like vortech and jackson racing, finding a supercharger for your car isn't that difficult anymore...

but nothing can replace the sound of a blow-off valve from a turbo...

 

Ever heard a car pass by your full throttle. Sounds ok but when you add Turbo and a Blow-off Valve to it...Your stunned and in awe. Turbo is good for the top end and personally, more jap than American Supercharger!! ^_^ Japan Spec Rocks!

I almost messed my pants the other day racing a starion!!! Damn thing sounded like a beast!!! Then I beat it... :fawk:
