what are you guys talking about?...??? putting a B18C5 is a direct bolt on for most Civics. H22's just require a few custom motor mounts.

The B18C5 motor is a limited production run. B18C5's were only found in the US from 97-01. Finding a crashed B18C5 is rare hence the higher prices.

The H22 were not limited. They were found in all DOHC VTEC 92-01 Preludes. They were in normal productions...and easier to find with no high demands.

The H22 was also in some Accords.
I know that they were built here, but they may have been shipped to Japan for sales.

doood is right, the USDM B18C5 is harder to find. Supply/Demand.

The B18C JDM Type R is easier, but the wiring is a trick.

What do you plan to do with your build up?

It's all about supply and demand...

H22's are a great 2nd choice though, I've seen quite a few H22 Hatches burn some FAST cars.
