New Bulbs!

1 Attachment(s)
I finally stopped by my cousin's and picked up some new bulbs. Of course I forgot my rear turn signals, but I guess I'll have him mail them to me. He gave me these bulbs (see below) and he assured me that it won't fry my harness. They are H4 90/100 and got some nice blue reverse bulbs.

I also picked up my Injen Intake (finally!), but I want a little help understanding

It says, "place the 2 1/2" side of the step hose onto the throttle body and use two clamps. Tighten the clamp on the throttle body.

Remove the PCV pipe and heater hose line on the intake manafold and reroute the stock bypass hose on the throttle body to the heater hose port on the intake manifold.

After that it seems really ez. Can anyone show me the first two parts? The instructions have pictures, but they are black and white and kinda grainy. If I can't figure it out, I'm going to ask a buddy at work to help me, he's done it b4.

Thanks for any help and pics you can provide.

The instructions say the the engine needs to be cold and you have to disconnect the battery. Is that truely needed?

And why is that?

C'mon, everyone knows the cheap "xenon" blue tinted glass bulbs die in like 3 months. Doesn't matter if they are PIAA or APC. Get some SilverStars, they aren't tinted, and look just as good. (And still cheaper than PIAA's). Also, standard H4's are 55 watts (low beam). Even at 90 watts (supposedly) they will be dimmer than standards. Blue bulbs just suck, I've gone through 3 pairs in 3 months. No, I did not touch them when I put em in.

Thanks for the input on the bulbs. They can go out every 3 months. I get'em free anyways. I am debating about going true HID. If I did, would you guys go with the single or dual filament H4 HID's?

asiandoood 09-11-2003 07:56 PM

definately go dual filament HID. otherwise only your low beam will be true HID.
