I'm desperate...
my car is very very slow. i understand that. it is a 94 automatic 4dr civic, with a D15B8. I am looking to make it a little quicker (not that I want it to break 10's or anything retarded), it is just way to slow as it is. Only mods are generic CAI and axle-back exhaust. I am thinking about getting a 50-75 shot of N20 (Zex). Would the DX be able to handle that? (and still drive away in one piece). Thanks, I appreaciate any advice/help.

Just swap it.

You're definitely going to kill the transmission and blow the motor running that much n2O.
|
Swap...

ive heard of ppl running 50 shots no problem but i am not sure about a 75 shot.. not on a stock motor dont think so..

Your going to spend roughly 700 cdn on a Zex kit?? Man just save another G or so and swap :) Stay N/A and you'll have your grocery getter and a little power to boot. IMO that is :)

WHAT?! D15B8?!?!?! In a 4-door? What car did Honda ever build with that setup? That's a 70 hp (on a good day) 1.5L CX motor. Dude. I have a spare one. If you have access to another transmission, you should mount this in your trunk and give the engine up front a little push.
Seriously, get that thing out of there. If that engine code is right, it won't even hold n2o. Put a different motor in that thing. D16Z, D16y, hell even a D15B7 would be an improvement. Check that engine code again because I think that motor's only supposed to come in 2080 lb hatchbacks. |
Did you top out at 140? I think you need NOZZZZ.
Just swap it. You can even get a gsr auto if you felt so inclined. Or you could convert it to manual. |
