Quick way to get more horsies outta my civic CX. cheap mods but
up for anything.

there isn't really any "quick" or "inexpensive" way to get horsepower out of a 1.5L SOHC nonVTEC motor... you're best option is a motor swap. anything else is just a waste of money

The stock CX engine is a 1.5 litre 8 valve. Don't bother doing anything to it, it is not going to be fast with that engine.

SOHC VTEC (D16Z6 or D16Y8) head on a D-series non-VTEC block, like yours.

The pistons used in the CX block have 16 valve reliefs, so you can mount a 16 valve head on it without a piston swap.
