Default Engine Swap Question

I was wondering what type of engine will drop right into a 99 Civic EX without doing any modifications? If there is no engine like that then one that requires little modification? If any one has any links on engine swaps please post them.

besides your stock motor, there is no engine that fits directly in.

if you are talking about swapping an integra engine, then you have to do a couple of things..

to start off:

1.) rewire some of the harness

2.) reweld the flange on your exhaust (LS motor)
extend the pipe from your header to exhaust about 6 inches
(GSR), unless you use a LS header

3.) SI rear engine mount, top transmission bracket, and driver
side mount.

4.) depending on your stock harness you might have to add some
wires for your second O2 sensor.

5.) change shift linkage, ECU, and other thingies....

..i might have forgotten some other things..

Is this what I should be looking at?

99-00 Civic Si

B18C5 (Type-R)
B18C1: Bolt-in swap
Requires wiring harness modifications.
ECU adaptor needed
Re-use 99-00 Civic Si Rear mount

B16B (Civic-R) Bolt-in swap
Requires wiring harness modifications for LHD cars
ECU adaptors needed

flipped cracker gave me the link and it has nothing for a 99 Civic EX. Does it matter isn't the EX and SI the same body style?

same body, different engine. the civic si already HAS most of the necessary wiring and engine mounts needed for a b18 swap.

you just need the wire harness, shift linkage, axles, ecu and from the research ive done the rear si mount, maybe even the driver side mount too. and if you want a/c the 99 SI or del sol b16a3 a/c bracket.
