Default need your help with alternator problems

okay i think my alternator needs to be changed.. i just recharged my battery last week cuz the car wouldn't start and now it won't start again. i'm positively sure nothing's draining the battery while my car's off, so i've come to the conclusion that the alternator isn't recharging the battery effectively.

so where can i get an alternator for cheap? can i install it myself? is it a bolt-on process? please tell me this isn't costly, i'm selling this car at the end of summer anyway.. arG

Did you try a voltage drop test, or an output voltage test? Also check and see if the belt and make sure its not loose?
