hahah, yeah, transistors can be a bitch, make sure you don't confuse the three pins, remember, the little tab is usually the emitter, base is usually in the middle, and collector, is the one not in the middle, without the tab.

good luck, remember, the pointy end of the soldering iron is the hot part, hehe.

Heheh, that's RPTs site, richard is a really really cool dude, and you'll be seeing his name tossed around like Jun, jet, and PYR etc, for ECU tuning very soon.

You are required to solder delicate, static sensitive components directly onto the ecu pc-board, it's not novice work.

I'd gladly do it via the mail for a price, have refrences, and I can probably even ship you a chipped ecu, whilst holding a deposit, so you have 0 downtime. PM me if interested.

also, I can do custom chips, I don't do off the shelf chips that may not be appropriate for your car.

And yes, they DEFINITLY work, if done properly, problem with the ebay chips, is you have no idea what your'e getting, unless you ds-assemble the rom.

I slapped my chipped P28 into an OBD2 civic SI last night, and aside from the re-limiter being tailored to my D16, the guy was ECSTATIC! Everyone says the same thing, "it feels like there is more power on tap."

I'm debating doing some dyno results soon, just to ward off the haters, we just found a place, that is cheapish.

How much and what kind? Are they reliable? I don't want to fry my ECU.
