Since i grow up in montreal/eastern townships,i will tell you that most of the bolts will be rusted and most likely will snap if you try to change them yourself.
A full replacement(cat back) will cost about $300.- $400.(i'm trying to remember what i paid.(but i've been drinking).
If you can get the bolts off it isn't that hard.
For not much more you could get a aftermarket exhaust.
As far as the pullies go, IMO they are waste of money. The gain isn't worth the canadian price.

Smudge..thanks for the reply...i will make an atttempt to do it myself...i thought it would have been a alittlle cheaper than that..oh well..so where did you live in mtl?
i guess i can forget about the pullies..but for the muffler change, is it just the muffler that comes off or is there a long catback pipe that comes with it?
thanks

The muffler comes with a small over the axle pipe that joins just behind the rear wheel(if you're standing at the rear og the car).
I'm going to my friend's shop,so i'll check and try to give you a more accurate price.
I lived in Westmount on edgehill but moved when i was 8 (1973).

so please clarify something it broke off AFTER the exhaust pipe goes over the sway bar? the rear two bolts are somewhat easy to take off. compared to the front. the nuts are welded i think, so loosen with the bolts. ONE last thing you have a 5th gen civic? I will sell you my stock axle back for best offer, pay for shipping and its yours. i don't want it, and I don't want to waste it cuz its in fine working condition.

It is aval, as a bolt in unit with all the hangers an flange.Any large muffler shop or parts supplier should carry them. This is an oem style but Walker also also makes Dyno-max and Ultra-flow mufflers.
You can try it yourself of some shops may include install in the price(that's what my friend does at his Carline muffler shop).
Hope this helps. Now i'm craving Bar-B Barn ribs :yumyum: :yumyum:.
