Default Okay.. I think I know what im gonna do

Heya guys. I have a 1993 Civic DX Coupe, im gonna swap out the D15B7 thats in it with a H22A USDM engine instead of JDM (because with california smog regulations a JDM engine would be a real bitch to get smogged without bribing the guy) If anyone disagrees with the swap , and think its a waste of money then please *please* tell me! If you think its a pretty good idea as a first upgrade to get rid of the D15B7 then tell me too =D Thanks guys ^_^ Bye for now!

Sam

rumor has it that you can get the ECU verified at the dealer to California spec. only way to pass a JDM motor.

H22 in a civic.....if you got the money. won't be much of a street car, more track than anything. It will be fast. Just buying the h22 mounts and installing them is expensive....i wouldn't do it though unless i had another car for daily driving or street racing. Do what you want.

If you are gonna do a H22 swap then spend some good money on suspension tuning. That way you can hope fully tune out any nose heavyness. Talk to some of the other people on the board that have that swap and see what suspension they are running.

theres not enough suspension tuning in the world to counter the effect of that engine in a civic.. highly inadvisable if you plan anything street/track.. only for drag
